My Mother’s Best Pies
Public Group
Description
If your mother’s a baker like mine, then trying the best tasting recipes of cakes and cookies and pastries is pretty much a normal occurrence in life. I’m a writer and I can only write the best essay when I one of eat my mother’s pies first. It seems to stir all the creative juices inside me. I can only write my essays properly if I eat my mother’s pies first. It truly helps me to derive inspirations and pour all my thoughts in that essay.
But of course, there are always those pies that stand out above the rest. There are those pies that will never leave your subconscious, coming out in the open everytime you’re hungry or everytime you see food in TV. Of all the pies my mother bakes, here are my top 5:
1. Sweet Potato Pie. BEST. PIE. EVER. It’s number 1 for a reason, of course. I have yet to taste anything that tastes better. I salivate just thinking about it.
2. Apple pie. Of course, of course. I think this is the first pie I’ve ever tasted. My mother said she learned how to make apple pie when she was 14. She has made the best one, really.
3. Fresh Pear Pie. I don’t even like pear! But my mother does something to this pie that makes me love it so much. This is the only time I eat pear.
4. No Bake Peanut Butter Pie. Who doesn’t like peanut butter? Who doesn’t like it, huh? Include it one of the best food ever and you’ll surely forget your name. I am in love with this pie.
5. Cherry-Blueberry Pie. My two favorite fruits in one pie! Need I say more?
I, of course, asked my mother to teach me how to bake pies. Let’s just say my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years now and he said that he falls in love with me more when I whip up something this good. Ha! Ha!
