xenobiotics, the foreign chemicals found in our body
By admin • Feb 13th, 2009 • Category: Health HighlightsThe International Society for the study of Xenobiotics believe that “Xenobiotics are compounds that are foreign to an organism or are not part of its normal nutrition. Examples of Xenobiotics are compounds that include drugs, food additives, and environmental pollutants. These agents are normally eliminated from the body after metabolism to compounds that are excreted through the bile, kidney, lung, or dermus. Enzymes that metabolize Xenobiotics are very important for the pharmaceutical industry as they are responsible for the breakdown of drugs. Likewise, Xenobiotic transporters also affect the duration that drugs are present in the body.”
To eliminate the sources of xenobiotics one should ;
eat organic , drink spring water, select organic body care products.
avoid using chemical based household cleaners, avoid all artificial sweeteners, flavours, preservatives and artificial colors.
According to Dr. William Holub, xenobiotics are associated with many physical disorders including for example, cancer, eczema, edema, fatigue, headache, MS, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia and pain.
Psychological disorders affected are for example autism,anxiety, fatigue, and insomnia.
