Music Festivals-fully charged and recylable

I see that 2 music festivals in Europe are doing some really alternative activities at their festival. O2 WIRELESS, held in LONDON HYDE PARK this year, had bike pedals geared up to charge cell phone batteries.. The people would have to pedal on the bike sediatry to get their cell phones charged up.

Another music festival in Denmark, called  Roskilde gave festival participants incentives to help clean up the garbage they made. The organizers gave out red bags and for every full bag of trash, the people would get free beers or milk chocolate. They also put recyclable bins out as well and gave .10 a bottle  to those who brought them in. 97% of the cups used in the concession stand where brought back for recycling. Also at the end of the festival 1,60 sleeping bags left behind were donated to the homelessness…… I am so glad to see the young and artistic are stepping up to the challenges of this planet!
